Description: Responsibilities The Senior Program Coordinator will
oversee programmatic and contract activities associated with
executing the New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute’s
Research Agenda. The purpose of the Research Agenda is to shape
AIDS Institute mission-driven research, including AIDS
Institute-led and commissioned research and collaborative research
that the AIDS Institute has a vested interest in but does not lead.
The incumbent will be responsible for the implementation of program
deliverables and will oversee and monitor research and evaluation
activities conducted in fulfillment of the Research Agenda. In this
capacity, the Senior Program Coordinator will oversee and
coordinate the research, evaluation, and quality management in
support of the Research Agenda; lead program evaluation and
research contracts with outside entities; oversee the coordination
of academic partnerships in support of the Research Agenda; support
quality management; and perform other appropriate related duties.
Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and
four years of program coordination experience in a public health,
health, or human services-related program or community-based
organization; OR an Associate’s degree in a related field and six
years of such experience; OR eight years of such experience. The
experience must have been contributing toward the development,
implementation and/or evaluation of a program, project or other
related activities. At least two years of experience must have
included supervision of staff and/or program management. A Master’s
degree in a related field may substitute for one year of
experience. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree or doctoral
degree in public health, epidemiology, or social and behavioral
sciences. Professional experience or subject matter knowledge
related to HIV/AIDS, HCV, drug user health, and LGBT programs,
policy, and/or data issues. Experience with conducting program
evaluation research in public health or related fields. Familiarity
with survey development and administration and manipulation of
large data sets. Experience in quality improvement methodologies.
Strong communication and project management skills. Knowledge and
experience with confidentiality and human subject protection in
research studies. Experience with preparation of abstracts/posters
for professional conferences, presentation to management and
professional audiences, and publication of study findings in
peer-reviewed journals. Grant development experience. Experience
with MS Office 365, (including MS Teams and SharePoint) and
experience with virtual meeting platforms (WebEx and Zoom).
Conditions of Employment Grant funded position. Compliance with
funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant
deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required. Valid and
unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa
sponsorship is not available for this position. Travel up to 25 %
of the time will be required. The selected candidate must reside
within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work
location specified in the job posting and must also be located in
or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York,
New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire.
This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with a
combination of onsite and remote work. This position may require
occasional work on weekends, after-hours, and holidays. HRI

Expectations At HRI, the nature of hybrid and onsite work varies by
position. Some roles require full onsite presence, while others
allow a hybrid schedule. Managers determine the specific
telecommuting expectations for each role based on operational needs
and job responsibilities. If designated as hybrid, you will divide
your time between working remotely and reporting onsite. Regardless
of telecommuting status, all HRI employees must live within a
reasonable commuting distance of their official work location and
must reside in one of the following states: New York, New Jersey,
Connecticut, Massachusetts, or Vermont.
