The State of Connecticut Judicial Branch is seeking an Endpoint
Management Specialist (Information Technology Analyst Trainee) for
the Desktop Services Unit. The successful candidate will possess
strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills capable of
solving complex problems. Candidates should be fluent in basic
desktop software such as Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office 365 and
have a broad base knowledge of endpoint management and PowerShell
The ideal candidate must have excellent interpersonal and
communication skills, both oral and written, as well as the ability
to work effectively with all levels of technical and non-technical
staff and management. Strong organization and documentation skills
are required, and a desire to learn and grow in the endpoint
management unit. The chosen candidate must be able to work
independently with supervisory guidance.
The preferred candidate will possess the following experience in
the specific functional area of Desktop Services:
* Diagnose and resolve PC and desktop software needs using a
variety of diagnostic tools to identify hardware and/or software
issues and initiate repairs; rebuild PCs and reconfigure user
* Support production applications and environments as required.
* Work with our Endpoint Management Team to develop solutions using
appropriate scripting and management tools to target and resolve
single user issues as well as statewide problems.
* Perform related duties as required.
Salary Range: $61,503 - $82,036/year plus State of Connecticut
New employees begin at the minimum. The starting salary for
existing state employees may be higher than the minimum, in
accordance with existing Judicial Branch policy.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
General Experience: Two (2) years of experience in information
technology (IT) operations, programming, systems/software
development or other IT related field.
1) College training in management information systems, computer
science, electrical engineering or related area may be substituted
for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester
hours equaling six (6) months of experience to a maximum of two (2)
years for an Associate s degree.
2) Relevant Technical School training leading to a diploma in an
information technology specialty (i.e. Computer networking
Management, Computer Programming, etc.) may be substituted for one
(1) year of the general experience.
3) Relevant certification in management information systems,
computer science, electrical engineering, project management or
related area may be substituted for up to six (6) months of the
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: Incumbents may be required to travel within
the State in the course of their daily work. Incumbents in this
class will be eligible for advancement to the target class of
Information Technology Analyst 1 after successful completion of two
(2) years of on the job training.
