krea@.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Temporary technician is sought to
facilitate experimental combustion test work in the group. The
candidate will be able to contribute both as part of a team and
independently under general supervision. Candidate should possess
strong mechanical assembly skills, with the ability to assemble and
troubleshoot mechanical systems, fabricate tubing systems (bending,
flaring, Swagelok), work with power tools (drilling grinding), read
system diagrams, and follow operating procedures. Ability to
operate fabrication machinery (Bridgeport, lathe) a plus.
Familiarity with instrumentation (pressure transducers,
thermocouples, flowmeters) and data systems a plus. The candidate
will be responsible for adhering to all EH&S rules.EXPERIENCE:
Working experience with high pressure air and fuel systems and
related components. Mechanical assembly skills. High degree of
technical judgment. Able to work from blueprints and schematics
Able to follow complex experimental procedures. Familiarity with
instrumentation and calibrations Familiarity with data acquisition
systems Demonstrated oral and written communication
skillsPREFERERED EXPERIENCE: Military flight line assignment
Airframe and Power plant licensed Familiar with experimental
testing techniques. Familiar with ASME piping codesEDUCATION: AA/AS
degree, A&P License, Technical/Business School Certificate or
Diploma, Skilled Trades Apprenticeship, or other post high school
training (two years duration) with minimum of 3-4 years
