remote opportunity for a Solution Architect!Key Responsibilities:
This position will be key to creating Pratt & Whitney's digital
manufacturing architecture for solutions that connect the data from
the plant floor to applications residing in the cloud. This is an
exciting position that helps define solutions to enable the next
generation capabilities for Pratt & Whitney.It is critical for the
right candidate to be comfortable in designing and architecting
solutions in the Azure cloud while having a good background in
technologies and digital processes related to the operations
shopfloor. Previous experience with edge computing and conditioning
data for cloud analytics would be highly welcome.The Solution
Architect will be a key driver of the Pratt & Whitney Industry 4.0
journey while working in an environment consisting of enterprise
solutions involving SAP for ERP, Solumina for MES, Teamcenter for
PLM, etc. and cloud applications such as Databricks, ML Flow, IOT
Hub, Azure SQL, PowerBI etc.The Solution Architect will be working
hand-in-hand with the Operations Excellence team for enabling
solutions to create analytical models based on the flow of data
from the shop floor to the cloud resulting in quality and
actionable data insights. Automation of routine manual processes
will be key to increase operational efficiency and reduce data
obscurity.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics,
Statistics or Computer Science or other technical disciplines or
equivalent professional experience and 10+ years hands-on
experience with relevant technology experience including -
enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid
infrastructures for data and analytics, architecture design, and
technology management; OR an Advanced Degree in Mathematics,
Statistics or Computer Science or other technical/related
disciplines and 7+ years hands-on experience with relevant
technology experience including - enterprise-scale technical
experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures for data and
analytics, architecture design, and technology management3+ years
of relevant technology architecture experience with ability to
contribute to an end-to-end Architecture and Solution using native
cloud technologiesUS Citizenship is required due to government
contractsPreferred Qualifications:An advanced degree in the area of
specialization is preferredExperience designing and implementing
solution using SQL Server and cloud data warehouseStrong knowledge
of data architecture and database designExperience with SQL, Spark,
PySpark and PythonExperience with PowerBI in Azure cloudGood
understanding and experience with Agile Scrum technologies,
DevSecOps, CI/CD etc.Background and knowledge of operations
technologies such as Ignition, Canary, MES and SPC toolsPrevious
manufacturing industry background highly preferredExperience with
Azure or other Hyperscalers and any related certificationsCloud
infrastructure management experienceExperience building analytics
