Job Description:
The IT Support specialist is responsible for ensuring that all
technical company software and hardware is functioning optimally.
This role will provide internal support and customer service on
both hardware and software. This role will be responsible for
troubleshooting and working with the IT Manager to advise on
solutions.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
Handle all technical support cases
Assess compatibility of new programs with existing programs
Assist in improvements by evaluating objectives, specifications,
and proposed changes to make informed recommendations
Prepare technical reference material that can be used by internal
users.
Consult with IT Manager and other departments as needed
Train end users in hardware functionality and software programs
Resolve logged errors in a timely manner
Monitor hardware, software, and system performance metrics
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Minimum high-school diploma; Associates Degree in Computer Science
preferred
Minimum of 1-3 years' experience in similar role
Working knowledge of fundamental operations of relevant software,
hardware, and other equipment
Proficient with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Access
ERP Experience, Epicor preferred
Physical Requirements:
Ability to push/pull up to 50 lbs
Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time
Ability to bend and reach
