Pratt & Whitney's Mechanical Systems, Externals and Nacelles (MSEN)
engineering module center is seeking experienced and highly
motivated Project Engineering professionals to support both
Operation Commercial Engines (OCE) programs. This role will require
the candidate to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets,
tracking progress and brining projects to closure. The project
engineer may have responsibility for any of the MSEN hardware
including externals, nacelles, bearing compartments, bearings, oil
tanks and pumps, heat exchangers, the main and accessory gearboxes,
externals, and nacelles. As hardware owners, the candidate should
be customer focused as well as technically proficient and capable
of communicating effectively to meet the needs of the Component
Integrated Product Team (CIPT), the program office, and
customers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and present status and technical content to CIPT and
Pratt & Whitney management
* Coordinate and lead teams to meet technical, development and
production requirements
* Monitor progress, identifies and resolves obstacles to minimize
disruption to project schedules to ensure smooth project operations
and completion
* [Ensure all aspects of design, product definition, hardware
procurement, validation requirements are met in a timely manner
* Manage budget and schedule in accordance with an Earned Value
Management System process including EV status tasks that require
EVMS
* Develop and manage risk assessment and risk mitigation plans
* Prepare business cases, funding proposal and Basis of Estimates
(BOE's) if required
* Review and process engineering changes
* Conduct field investigations to drive root cause and recommend
product improvements
* Create and complete comprehensive hardware Verification &
Validation plans in alignment with program schedules and
requirements
* Coordinate supplier activities and customers to meet program
cost, schedule, and performance metrics.
Basic Qualifications:
* BS degree in Engineering or equivalent experience and minimum 5+
years prior relevant experience, or MS degree in Engineering w/3+
years related experience
* US Citizenship or US Person Status required due to government
contracts
* Travel 10%
Preferred Qualifications:
* MSEN Module Center Experience highly desirable
* Previous Project Management experience
* Previous Agile and scrum experience a plus
