Hot Section Engineering (HSE) at Pratt & Whitney is currently
looking for motivated interns in Durability Engineering to join our
team in support of commercial, military and industrial gas turbine
engines. In HSE, we are responsible for the development of engine
components ranging from the combustor, to turbine rotors and
airfoils, to major structural cases which operate at substantially

necessary to support the design, development, validation,
production implementation and management of advanced and

This intern will be an integral member of the Durability team,
working tasks and challenging problems focused on engine safety,
reliability, capability, robustness and affordability.
* You will collaborate with small teams and receive mentoring and
coaching from experts and senior engineers in the field.
* Assist engineers in performing heat transfer, fluid flow, CFD and
optimization analyses on advanced, film cooled gas turbine
* Additional responsibilities can include conducting cold flow and
water flow tests, documenting hardware distress and analytical
model calibration based on test results.
* Enrollment in a B.S. or M.S. degree program in Engineering
* Fluent in English (verbal/written)
* Minimum GPA of 3.0
* Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is highly preferred
* Concentration in Heat Transfer and Fluid Dynamics
* Strong writing, presentation and interpersonal skills are
* Ability to work in cross-disciplinary teams
