Pratt & Whitney Engineering Development Program
We are currently seeking Mechanical, Aerospace, and Systems
Engineering students to support the test groups at Pratt & Whitney
as part of our Engineering Development Program (EDP). The
Engineering Development Program is a multiyear program for new
college hires that has been implemented to:
- Accelerate technical capability through substantive work
rotations focused in specific disciplines
- Connect EDP participants with a network of technical resources
& engineering experts.
Associates in the EDP may work in disciplines across our test
engineering organization, including but not limited to:
- Design Engineering for Tooling, Instrumentation and Test
- Product Safety, Assembly, and Test Engineering
- Test Operations
Qualified candidates will be considered for open positions as they
become available. Employees may be eligible to work remotely,
on-site, or in a hybrid arrangement depending on the requirements
of the specific position.
- Applicable fields of study include: Mechanical, Aerospace,
Systems Engineering, or a related field
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Must be a U.S. Citizen due to government contract
- Fluent in English (verbal/written)
- Prior internship or co-op experience in the aerospace and
defense industry, especially with Pratt & Whitney or other Raytheon
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a
consistent record of collaboration, innovation, and initiative
- A passion for learning about and pursuing a career in aviation
- Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability in responding
to new business challenges
- Eager to learn new things, contribute a fresh perspective, and
share your knowledge with others
- This position requires 12 months or less of relevant
professional work experience (excluding internships).
By becoming a member of the Pratt & Whitney Engineering Development
Program (EDP), you will receive hands-on training to help you build
your career in aerospace. This accelerated program will provide you
an opportunity for professional growth as a college new hire and
train you to be a future leader of the organization. College
undergraduate and graduate hires are allowed to complete three to
four assignments to build technical breadth and leadership
abilities before graduating from the program. These rotations are
complimented by discipline-specific training that will accelerate
the development of EDP participants.
What is my role type?
In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also
transforming how and where we work. We've introduced role types to
help you understand how you will operate in our blended work
environment. This role is:
Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work
regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities
of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status
throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles,
commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal
