Are you ready to go beyond?CVI/CVD Engineer's Key Responsibilities:Develop processes for Chemical Vapor Infiltration (CVI) and Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) to produce ceramic matrix composites.Work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to develop new processes and implement new designs into productionPlay an active role in the Integrated Product Team (IPT) process for Ceramic Matrix Composite (CMC) turbine componentsCreate and implement strategies to improve quality and minimize process costLead the strategy for comprehensive data collection and analysis that will support robust process development for CMCs. This includes establishing methods for data collection, data analysis and data visualization for data-driven decision makingLead the advancement of CVI Technology Readiness Level (TRL) and support hardware production for Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) demonstrationConduct root cause investigations as required and implement corrective actionsIdentify, investigate and implement new technology to address business goals10% TravelBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of prior relevant experience, ORAdvanced Degree in a related field and 3+ years of relevant experienceUS Citizenship required due to government contractsPreferred Qualifications:Degree in Engineering discipline with 3.0 GPA or higher preferred.Experience developing new processes and successful transition to productionExperience making, testing or analyzing CMCsExperience with CVI or CVD processes and equipmentA working-knowledge of quality and process improvement tools such as Six Sigma and LEANAbility to read and interpret technical drawingsStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to develop strong interpersonal relationships and exercise influenceAbility to lead small teams to deliver outstanding results and overcome challengesKnowledge and effective practice of Environmental, Health and Safety requirementsWhat is my role type?In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work.
