This International Field Service Representative (FSR) position will have overall responsibility to provide daily support of the Royal Jordanian Air Force F100-PW-220 powered F-16 fleet in Amman Jordan. This position will be based at Mufaq Shaheed Al-Salti Air Base (MSAB) in Jordan.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide informal training to personnel on techniques pertaining to the installation, operation, maintenance, adjustment, calibration, troubleshooting, bench check, inspection and repair of the prime equipment/systems.
  • Provide constant analysis of practices in order to improve the quality of engine operation and maintenance, recommending changes as applicable.
  • Advise on the use of tools and support equipment associated with maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of the engine.
  • Demonstrate the best methods for performing maintenance tasks, in compliance with technical procedures.
  • Emphasize safety precautions required during the performance of operation and maintenance tasks.
  • Use self-initiative and judgment to identify problems, conduct thorough investigations to determine root causes, generate recurring reports on all engine related activities, and coordinate solutions between P&W Logistics Program Managers, CSE, and Systems Group.
  • Provide leadership and technical support to resolve technical and logistics issues involving the Intermediate and Organizational levels of operation.
  • Interpret applicable specifications, processes, methods, procedures, technical order work packages, and other information related to maintenance and operation tasks.
  • Foster the ACE principles and continuous improvement practices to minimize costs and satisfy customers.
  • Use technical and teaming skills to ensure customer Fleet Readiness Excellence.
  • Work closely with the F100 Logistics Program Manager to support key program metrics.
  • Maintain a sound business relationship with the customer at the base, logistics command, and headquarters ensuring customer satisfaction.

Education

  • B.S./B.A. in Engineering or Other Technical Field.

Experience

  • 7+ Years' experience with propulsion systems.
  • Technical understanding of the F100 engine and aircraft propulsion systems and components is required. Working knowledge of organizational and intermediate level maintenance, operation and troubleshooting. Ability to act independently without day-to-day guidance, prioritize tasks and plans effectively. The candidate must possess a high degree of diplomacy, interpersonal skills, teaming abilities and have the ability to interact directly with military and civilian customers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to conduct meetings, effective presentations, and provide training to customers at all levels.

Comments/Travel Requirements

The position will have some international travel back to the U.S. to support the F100 World Wide User Meeting and Logistics Management Reviews. Periodic work during extended hours and weekends is anticipated.
