An integral part of F135 Sustainment, the Fleet Management team leads execution of Performance Based Logistics (PBL), ensuring availability and readiness of the Propulsion System for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.

As a Readiness Program Specialist, you will be responsible for planning and execution of Retrofit Campaigns to ensure the availability of the world's most advanced fighter engine with around the clock support and integration across all disciplines of the value stream.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sustainment Program Management (SPM) integration of aftermarket services to include Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul & Upgrade as well as Supply and Logistics

  • Program Objective Memorandum (POM) planning for future task incorporation

  • Contract Deliverable List (CDRL) reporting on Retrofit activities

  • Control Account Management (CAM) for F135 Readiness Program Management labor

Core processes and activities:

  • Facilitate execution of material delivery, labor performance and related task dependencies (incl. Engineering Changes, Tech Directives, Support Equipment/Tool deliveries or modifications, etc)

  • Coordinate with Air Vehicle and Propulsion depots to incorporate routine, safety and urgent/immediate action retrofit campaigns

  • Identify and communicate risks, challenges and opportunities with potential to impact the timely implementation of Retrofit performance

Supports the Modification & Reliability Maintainability Safety IPT:

  • Communicate with the F-35 Joint Program Office on strategy, planning and execution.

  • Develop courses of action to align F-35 Operators and F135 Sustainment teams.

  • Incorporate strategies to ensure program priorities & objectives are met.

  • Brief Retrofit Campaign status/plans at quarterly Program Director's Review with the JPO & Partner/Service Headquarters.

  • Represent Logistics for the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP), Major Variance Request (MVR) and Time Compliant Technical Directive (TCTD) processes.

  • Integrate Support Equipment (SE), Customer Support Engineering (CSE), Vendors/Suppliers, internal F135 Sustainment teams, and Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Product Support Providers (PSPs)

  • Implement Reliability, Maintainability and Safety initiatives across all sites.

  • Integration of F-35 Prime Contractor, Lockheed Martin, on retrofit activities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Business, Engineering or Supply/Operations discipline preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in Project, Supply Chain, Maintenance or Fleet Management required

  • Experience with IFS Maintenix, Joint Technical Data, and/or PyRITS preferred

  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems preferred

  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and must be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD clearance
