Responsible for development, validation and implementation of
new inspection applications based on understanding of basic
nondestructive evaluation principles. Implementation of production
and onwing inspection applications including ultrasonics, eddy
current, thermal and other NDE methods. Will include development of
field and production inspection methods fully supported by POD
validation. Engineers are also responsible for project management
associated with technical schedule and budget. Building effective
relationships with highly skilled technicians and internal and
external customers. Travel (5-20%).
B.S. minimum in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical
5+ years experience as an engineer, working in a laboratory or 3
years with an advance degree, with manufacturing processes or
overhaul and repair of aerospace products.
- US Citizenship
Physics is preferred. M.S. and Ph.D. graduates are also
acceptable. Other engineering degrees will be considered.
NDE, measurement / instrumentation, design and report writing
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work well in
production & overhaul environments needed.
Interest in innovative mechanical / electrical devices
- Position involves work with ITAR hardware.
