Just look up.Are you ready to go beyond?F117/Tanker product line has an exciting and challenging leadership position as a Customer Support Engineer (CSE) with a specific focus in the area of Electrical Controls. This position will lead the engine design Integrated Product Teams (IPT)s for F117-PW-100 & PW4062-3 engines.This position has considerable customer interface and exposure to the customer. It encompasses an array of engineering and project management skills to include engine diagnostic, engine operation, safety/risk management, event/hardware investigations, and maintenance/component improvements.You should have demonstrated the ability to organize, prioritize and track assignments and to work with a team or independently to meet customer requirements.Customer Support Engineering is a well-managed, fast paced and exciting place to work with a commitment to achieving the highest levels of employee engagement. Employees provide technical and logistical support for an array of military engine programs and take pride in knowing their work ensures security of our nation, our freedom and humanitarian aid around the world.If you enjoy managing projects, driving technical matters to closure while exceeding customer expectations this is an opportunity that will utilize your current experience while nurturing personal growth that will help your career.Key Responsibilities: Form and lead cross functional teams with the customer, CSE, and CIPTs to resolve F117/Tanker engine operation, test, troubleshooting and logistical issues. Coordinate with Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPTs) to support activities involved in implementing, conducting investigations and submission of a final letter or report. Lead investigations on engine or aircraft interface issues to identify root cause of anomalies and identify improvements. Integrate customer issues with the PW core engineering and provide support for system activities in developing and executing field implementation plans in support of standard flight operations Co-Lead, coordinate, prepare and present technical issues in support of Propulsion Technical Meetings and Propulsion Users Conferences Demonstrated adaptability and capability to manage multiple priorities in parallel Develop and implement logistics plans for corrective actions in the field. Via the use of MERLIN, create and monitor reports from Field Service Representatives (FSRs) and external customers, collect/analyze field data to meet life cycle cost. Provide timely, complete responses to FSR inquiries and customer technical questions; track questions/responses appropriately. Support Configuration Control Board (CCB) activities and advise on Engineering Change (EC) impacts to logistics and attend CCB meetings as required. Support development of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Engineering Authorization (EAs) and Service Bulletins (SBs). Mark up existing maintenance manuals to capture changes required in support of Tech Order improvements. Drive customer satisfaction by influencing the design for supportability, maintainability, and life cycle cost. Coordinate activity to resolve issues affecting engine readiness and customer satisfaction.Basic Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent technical field MBA or MS in Management is preferred but not require: A minimum of 7 years' experience working with F117-PW-100, PW4062C, or similar power plant is required. US Citizenship is required due to government contracts. 5 years of demonstrated experience of jet engine hardware design/application with Electronic Controls and maintenance practices. Must have or be able to obtain a security clearance.Preferred Qualifications: Experience with design, manufacture, or maintenance of low pressure turbines or exhaust cases, especially on Pratt & Whitney engines. Experience with installation, operation, maintenance repair and modification of equipment, controls or ancillary products. Knowledge of PWA engineering change process Demonstrated successful management of large scale projects, including the management of multiple priorities in parallel Experience with field service, logistics, corrective actions, and writing technical reports Able to present findings and recommendations to both internal and external customersRaytheon Technologies is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
