Position Description Job Summary: This is a skilled position working in a production environment. As a Truck Driver (Class A), you will be responsible for transporting materials and goods to various locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. You will operate and maintain company vehicles, adhere to all DOT regulations, and prioritize safety and efficiency on the road. Essential Functions: 1. Protect family and friends. Safely transport materials and equipment in a safe and responsible manner. 2. Ownership and caring . Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper and safe working condition and promptly report any damage or mechanical malfunctions. 3. Respect and engage. Communicate effectively with the paving crew, operations manager, and other team members. Position Requirements Requirements, Education and Experience: 1. Class A valid driver's License and a clean driving record. 2. 2 years' experience, preferred 3. Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards. 4. Proficient verbal and written English 5. Travel: Position may require up to 100% travel by personal vehicle to project locations throughout the state of Rhode Island and New England based on the needs of the business. Work Environment/Physical Demands: This position works indoors and outdoors at times in inclement weather. Heavy work that includes moving objects up to 100 lb. or more. This position works on or near moving mechanical parts and loud equipment. Requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time as well as lifting, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, walking, reaching, driving, and repetitive motion.
