Job Description:
Nesco Resource is looking for Fish Packaging Associates located
in Wallkill, NY. This is a temp to perm opportunity for the right
candidates. Shift: Monday-Friday 7AM-5PM Pay: $18/Hour Job Summary:
We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Fish Packaging
Associates to join our team. This role involves handling,
processing, and packaging fresh and frozen fish products in a safe
and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong work
ethic, the ability to work in a cold environment, and a commitment
to maintaining food safety and quality standards. Duties &
Responsibilities: Weigh, portion, and package fish products
according to company standards and customer specifications. Inspect
fish for freshness, quality, and adherence to safety regulations
before packaging. Operate and maintain packaging machinery and
tools safely and efficiently. Ensure all packages are correctly
labeled with product details, weights, and expiration dates. Follow
hygiene and safety protocols, including proper handling of raw
seafood and maintaining a clean workstation. Assist in tracking
inventory levels and reporting shortages or discrepancies. Work
collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals.
Qualifications & Skills: Previous experience in food processing,
seafood handling, or packaging is a plus but not required. Ability
to work in cold and wet environments. Strong attention to detail
and ability to follow instructions. Good physical stamina,
including the ability to lift heavy weights and stand for long
periods. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and
