In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work. We've introduced role types to help you understand how you will operate in our blended work environment. This role is: Remote

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.

Key responsibilities:

* The successful candidate design, deploy and maintain the HPC cluster

* Design and develop Scripts for system administration, monitoring and usage reporting.

* Troubleshoots, isolate and resolve system and other technical problems related to the HPC cluster.

* Define the HPC infrastructure maintenance and deployment automation roadmap.

* Define improvement proposal that focus on stability and performance for end-users

* Define and design a framework to move HPC jobs between on premises HPC and cloud.

* Maintain system software and firmware revisions including patches, updates and OS upgrades.

* Work with users to identify use cases for cloud HPC workloads and data.

* Develop monitoring and reporting processes for HPC cluster.

* Monitor cloud HPC jobs and perform post-mortem analysis on job failures.

* Analyze, diagnose, and respond to system problems and users questions related to running jobs on the HPC cluster.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in with 8 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experience.

* 5 plus years of experience as a HPC Linux System Administrator.

* Experience in installation of Linux Operating system on a variety of hardware platforms.

* Experience in use of various Linux package management systems.

* Familiarity with LSF or any other job scheduler.

* Proven success collaborating across disciplines.

* Experience with building on-prem HPC clusters and HPC technologies.

* Candidate should have a strong background in customer service.

* Demonstrated effectiveness working in a complex, service-intensive, deadline-driven environment.

* Hands-on experience in DevOps and containerization.

* Experience in Bash and Python scripting.

* Experience in automation, configuring and deploying instance in cloud.

* Experience in Linux and Windows OS deployment.

* U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (required due to Government contractual requirements)

Preferred Qualifications:

* Advanced degree.

* Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) certification.

* Self-starter with enthusiasm and strong customer service orientation.

* Highly skilled at analyzing business process and seeing opportunities for digital solutions.

* Experience working in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Waterfall, or Agile program structures.

* Good communication skills, work ethic and a high level of personal integrity and accountability.

* Willingness to learn new technologies & take on new projects to grow experience.
