Job Description:
This Manufacturing Programmer - CNC role is an important member
of our Manufacturing Team. You will focus on programming precision
turning equipment including multi-axis lathes and Swiss screw
machines. You will split time between programming in an engineering
environment and performing hands-on set-up on the production floor.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Program and set-up CNC equipment, including multi-axis lathes
and Swiss screw machines with a combination of turning and milling
capability. (Fanuc, Mitsubishi, and Okuma controls)
- Use of CAM software will be required (Partmaker and
Mastercam)
- Operate production equipment on new part introduction (NPI)
projects, complete development work (R&D), to optimize
processes, and troubleshoot production issues.
- Work with our Engineering Team to develop processes, select
tooling, and establish work instructions.
- Set-up and establish processes for support equipment (e.g.
deburring, finishing, marking, etc.) in a cellular
environment.
- Improve CNC programs and manufacturing processes to improve
quality, reduce set-up time, speed up cycle times, and boost
throughput.
- Develop and document manufacturing processes. Specify tooling
requirements and kit tooling for jobs.
- Use our modern DNC System to organize the CNC program
library.
- Performs other related duties as required. Other
Responsibilities:
- Support our cost estimating processes by developing and
simulating manufacturing processes.
- Perform tool and die work and assist with fixture
building.
- Train other team members on machining techniques. Requirements:
- Five or more years of advanced manufacturing experience in an
advanced manufacturing environment where there was close tolerance
machining in small lots.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming including CAM systems
- Strong knowledge of work holding and tooling systems
- Demonstrated alignment with the company's Core Purpose and Core
Values.
- Strong organizational, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced computer user.
- Need to possess a "Can Do" positive attitude in a fast paced
manufacturing Environment.
