Job Description Job Description Job Title: Medical Assistant Location: Cortlandt Manor, NY 10567 Schedule: Day Shift – 5x8s (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) Duration: 18-Week Contract Pay Rate: Up to $23 per hour Position Overview "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support clinical operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role requires a professional who can effectively provide both clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality patient care. Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Responsibilities: Prepare patients for examinations and procedures Obtain and accurately document vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, etc.) Assist physicians and healthcare providers during examinations and treatments Administer injections and medications as directed by the provider Perform basic laboratory procedures and specimen collection Maintain, clean, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment Ensure exam rooms are properly stocked and prepared for patient visits Administrative Responsibilities: Schedule patient appointments and coordinate patient flow Update and maintain electronic medical records (EMR) Verify patient demographics and insurance information Manage inbound phone calls and patient inquiries professionally Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (Required) BLS Certification (Required) Medical Assistant Certification (Preferred) Minimum one (1) year of Medical Assistant experience (Preferred) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask in a clinical setting Proficiency with electronic medical records systems For more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
