Job Description:
Albany Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled
Clinical Nurse II to join our Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) /
Neurological Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU) on the night shift.
This role is instrumental in providing advanced nursing care and
support to critically ill patients who require complex assessment
and therapeutic management. As part of our premier healthcare
system, which integrates a top-tier hospital with a leading medical
college, the selected candidate will be pivotal in upholding our
commitment to excellence in education, research, and patient care.
Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to critically ill
patients in the SICU/Neuro ICU. Perform complex patient assessments
and adjust care plans based on continual evaluations. Administer
medications and treatments accurately and promptly. Collaborate
with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate integrated and
comprehensive care. Participate in research and clinical trials as
applicable to improve patient outcomes and advance medical
knowledge. Educate patients and their families on disease
processes, treatment, and self-care skills. Maintain a safe, clean,
and organized environment for patients and staff. Proficient in
using medical software for patient care management. Strong ability
to perform detailed assessments and make quick, accurate decisions.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. High aptitude for
teamwork and stress management. Medical Insurance Life Insurance
Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment. Basic
Life Support (BLS) Certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life
Support (ACLS) Certification preferred.
