This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the Care Coordination and RN Liaison department, ensuring efficient patient throughput, compliance, and excellence in discharge planning. This is an urgent need requiring a candidate with a proven track record in healthcare leadership and acute hospital operations. Contract Information - Job Order: MGB-26264 - Duration: Flexible 13 or 20-week contract - Shift: 5x8 Days (08:00 – 16:30) - Location: 75 Francis St, Boston, MA 02115 - On-Call: No Key Responsibilities - Departmental Leadership: Provide strategic and operational oversight for the Case Management and Care Coordination team. - Workflow Optimization: Manage daily staffing, case assignments, and process improvements to streamline patient transitions and discharge planning. - Compliance & Quality: Ensure all case management activities meet hospital policies, state/federal regulations, and accreditation standards. - Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Act as a liaison between nursing, medical staff, and administration to resolve complex barriers to care. - Mentorship: Supervise and support RN Case Managers, providing clinical guidance and performance evaluations. Required Qualifications - Leadership Experience: Minimum of 2 years of management or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting is strictly required. - Clinical Experience: Significant experience in an acute care hospital environment. - Licensure: * Active Massachusetts RN License OR a Conditional License. - Note: Applicants with a conditional license must have already initiated the permanent licensure process. The initial contract will cover the duration of the conditional license, with extensions pending the issuance of the permanent license. - Skills: Strong expertise in utilization review, discharge planning, and complex care coordination within a major medical center.
