Job Description:

Produces high-quality, testable, and optimally deployable code for complex trading products and components. Works in a highly collaborative Agile team developing PL/SQL Scripts and Informatica workflows to support ETL trading batch cycles. Identifies and makes improvements to Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes and test automation frameworks (unit, component, and integration testing) in a data engineering space. Develops and implements real time data streaming/replication technologies (Golden Gate, Materialized Views, and Oracle AQ). Develops and enhances event alerting. Writes complex queries to reconcile, using Java Generation Rest Services, PL/SQL, Informatica, and Perl). Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.

Utilizes trading workflow and business value/context as part of development efforts.

Performs data quality checks.

Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.

Develops and enhances CI/CD and test automation frameworks.

Develops and enhances event monitoring and data quality alerting.

Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.

Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.

Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience developing advanced Oracle, SQL, and PL/SQL packages, procedures, triggers, functions, and indexes, using Informatica and Amazon Web Services (AWS) according to Agile methodologies.

Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience developing advanced Oracle, SQL, and PL/SQL packages, procedures, triggers, functions, and indexes, using Informatica and Amazon Web Services (AWS) according to Agile methodologies.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (DE) designing and developing efficient and scalable database code, using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL; implementing business logic, using packages, procedures, triggers, functions, indexes, and collections, using TOAD and PL/SQL developer; and performing advanced performance tuning using Advanced PL/SQL.

DE performing data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) using ETL tools -- Informatica Power Center.

DE developing batch and real time data applications used for streaming and replicating Oracle Materialized Views and Oracle AQ and integrating them, using PERL Scripts and REST Services.

DE designing and developing efficient and scalable asset management trading platform products written on Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform, using Amazon Simple Storage Service, RDS, Amazon Simple Queue Service, Amazon Simple Notification Service, Amazon Simple Workflow Service, and AWS Cloud Formation; and identifying and administering improvements to Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for migrations to AWS platform.
