Start your Voyage - Apply Now Get to Know the OpportunityThis is an exciting opportunity for IT Director to provides delivery management and engineering leadership for Wealth Management focused application engineering teams and co-ordinate with business partners, product owners, and other technology stakeholders to apply/evolve best engineering practices for Voya Financial' Workplace Solutions Technology team. This role is accountable for proactively and holistically leading or support Wealth Management business function deliverables that enhance business model, processes, organization change, platform/technology adoption to disrupt and achieve targeted business outcome including delightful customer experience across B2B and B2C. This individual is responsible for driving and leveraging technology/platforms/engineering to enable the organization's future-state business capabilities, which can enable business processes, in turn, drive the organization's targeted business outcomes.The Contributions You'll Make

  • Lead the development and execution of technology projects, including application development, automation, and database PL/SQL programing.
  • Manage individuals, and/or teams with higher level technology professionals to ensure results meet customer expectations and adhere to internal IT standards, methodologies, and strategies.
  • Troubleshoot special problems and lead performance improvement efforts for one's area based on a solid understanding of the technical concepts, methods, and practices applied by reporting staff.
  • Collaborates with customers, staff, IT colleagues, and other stakeholders to identify customer requirements, assess impacts to other data, systems, products, or services, compare costs and benefits, consider available technologies and processes, and recommends solutions.
  • Monitor and report to IT management and user/customer management on the status of multiple, concurrent project or service efforts.
  • Develops and manages business plan(s) and budget(s) for functional area; identifies resource needs and develops supporting justifications for them; responsible for the overall success of team managed.
  • Ensure security related to non-functional requirements are factored in solutions for APIs, applications, platforms, and databases.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and data privacy requirements/guidelines for systems and data for business function(s).
  • Communicates technology needs and strategy to fellow members of solution architecture, enterprise architecture review board and executive leadership.
  • Continue to enhance business and technology domain knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and partnering professional organizations.
  • Keep up to date with emerging trends and technologies in the Wealth Management (specifically Broker-Dealer, RIA, and Asset Management), Retirement, Workplace Benefits and recommend changes and improvements as needed.
  • Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative, independent judgment and building the consensus with multiple teams.
  • Collaborating with suppliers, vendors, and customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.Minimum Knowledge and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or information systems; master's degree a plus
    • Overall, 10 or more years of progressively responsible experience in managing application engineering teams. And 3 or more years of experience in leadership/management role will be preferrable.
    • FINRA SIE (Securities Industry Essentials) and Series 99 (Operations Professional) or must be obtained within 120 days of employment.
    • Demonstrated success in project management and execution with involvement in multiple major projects or a sustained record of success delivering complex IT services to a diverse stakeholder.
    • Strong technical and management ability to lead a delivery team (onshore/offshore) and to facilitate projects and automation across the organization utilizing industry best practices.
    • Understanding of cloud technologies to design modern data analytics platform to support Data Visualization, Traditional Reporting, Advanced Analytics and Operational Data Stores
    • Strong understanding of DevSecOps concepts with automaton
    • Expert level knowledge of existing, new, and emerging technologies and being able to apply them to new business designs and business models.
    • Expert level experience developing and monitoring delivery of efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems.
    • Preferably had development and coding experience in one or more technologies such as Salesforce, Microsoft .Net VB.Net/C# .Net, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Web API, Microservices, Java Spring Boot, and Containerized platform like OpenShift and/or Pivotal Cloud Foundry
    • Demonstrate problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
    • Ability to clearly communicate / present technical information to technology and business leaders.
    • Preferably having a good understanding of AWS or Azure,
    • Understanding of financial services industry domains - Retirement, Workplace Solutions, Group Benefits, Wealth Management will be big plus for this role.
    • Understanding of industry standards like Pershing, FINRA/SEC, LIMRA, DTCC/NSCC, Morningstar, SMA/UMA, and Advisory Platform will be considered big plus.#LI-BP1Compensation Pay Disclosure: Voya is committed to pay that's fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities. The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate's geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
