Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an talented and experienced Principal Engineer to join our team in East Hartford office! In this role you will get to support wide variety of transportation projects such as $450 million Interchange Improvement Project in Meriden, CT or upcoming various highway improvements projects from CTDOT Task Order assignments. You will perform various tasks ranging from feasibility studies, preliminary engineering, and final design to report writing and development of construction contract documents.
What You'll Be Doing:

  Lead a variety of roadway engineering tasks such as geometric design, engineering analyses, and project plan development.
  
  
• 
  Prepare engineering design plans, engineering computations, technical reports, specifications, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates.
  
  
• 
  Assist the project manager in executing and delivering project assignments.
  
  
• 
  Coordinate and communicate with internal team and external clients/agencies.
  
  
• 
  May plan, lead, and supervise lower level engineers on same assignments.
  
  
• 
  Participate or project meetings as well as participate in site visits and field inspection as required.
  
  
  EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related field) and typically 10+ years of related work experience. Professional Engineer registration is a MUST.

  Salary Range:
  $79,100.00 - $138,400.00
