Are you ready to go beyond?Job Description:Hot Section Engineering is seeking a highly motivated Senior Design Engineering Supervisor to lead a team of mechanical design engineers in support of the NGPF program. This position will report to the Design Discipline Manager. The Sr. Design Engineering Supervisor is part of the NGPF Combustor/Turbine Leadership team, ensuring technical excellence, program planning, and task execution. Additionally, talent development and mentorship of IPT Engineers are key components to this role. Excellent communication skills are highly desirable to work across the various levels of the organization from Program Chief Engineers, to recent hires into the organization.Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise team of mechanical design engineers to develop module improvements in support of extending time on wing.
  • Substantiate mechanical design solutions and program planning & execution during preliminary and detailed design phases of development.
  • Supervise, coach and mentor team members during execution of tasks.
  • Work with the Design Discipline Manager to develop and sustain hardware to meet and exceed module and system requirements and will work collaboratively to solve problems with IPT, CIPT and SIPT teams.
  • Ensure all aspects of the tasks and the successful execution of Engineering Standard Work and Product Reviews.Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field with 10+ years of relevant work experience, OR
    • Advanced degree in a related field and 7+ years of relevant work experience
    • US Citizenship required due to government contractPreferred Qualifications:
      • Active US Government Security Clearance
      • Broad understanding of combustor, HPT & LPT modules and designs
      • Proven track record of leadership, innovation, and initiative.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to all levels of the organization.
      • Passion for the mission, teamworking and collaboration in fast paced environment.
