Position:I/T Field Services Technician
TAB Computer Systems, Inc., a 100% employee-owned company since 2021, is an established IT service and support company, has been providing technology assistance and solutions to small and medium sized businesses for well over 30 years.TAB is a Partner with Microsoft, Intel, Cisco, Axcient, StorageCraft, ProofPoint and many more. TAB also builds and maintains their own custom line of Intel based servers and workstations.TAB is currently seeking to add to our technical service team.As an IT Technician, you will perform a variety of technical tasks, including but not limited to product installations and troubleshooting / repairing of the same.These include all components in a small to medium business computer environment.This position requires willingness to travel (primarily within Connecticut, occasional travel to Massachusetts).TAB is a ConnectWise partner, utilizing the entire ConnectWise suite of programs as well as Internal and External API feeds. As such, the position requires that the technician maintain accurate 'tickets' on the repair, installation and removal of equipment and provide appropriate logging of these activities.Required Technical Skills:A strong background in Microsoft Client Operating Systems such as Windows 10 and Windows 7 required.Familiarity with Windows Server Operating Systems 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2019 strongly desired.Also desired is a solid understanding of Virtual Server technology as well as knowledge of on-premise Exchange Server 2019 / 2016 / 2013 / 2010 .Applicant must also hold knowledge of Hosted Email technologies such as Office 365.The applicant will ideally have a minimum of 3 years of active field experience and hold valid industry certifications.Experience with VOIP systems also desired.Industry Certifications:The ideal candidate would hold a A+, Network+, Security+, and base Microsoft certifications such as within Windows 10.Windows Server and Cisco certification a plus.Physical Requirements:This position emphasizes travel to client locations, and also involves the installation, transportation, and moving of computer equipment. Candidates for this position are expected to be able to regularly lift between 5 and 35 pounds.
