Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for designing, developing and testing
sophisticated software; designing, architecting, and developing web
applications supporting MathWorks Examples workflow; designing and
building the tooling, infrastructure, and web applications that
enable MathWorks customers to view, download, clone, and submit
interactive examples; designing and implementing software and
infrastructure; creating requirements and design specifications;
participating in design review and code review; and collaborating
within a cross-functional team in an Agile environment. Education and Experience: Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering
or Computer Science and two (2) years of experience in job offered
or two (2) years of experience in full stack Ruby on Rails web
application development. OR Ph.D. degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering or
Computer Science and no experience. OR Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering or Computer Science and six (6) years of experience in
job offered or six (6) years of experience in full stack Ruby on
Rails web application development. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise in web development using JavaScript and
Ruby, including HTML for rich internet content, CSS for styles, UI
development using Vue.js or JQuery frameworks, and back end
development using Rails frameworks. Demonstrated expertise developing MATLAB-based applications over
Ruby on Rails and Java web services; and using data structures and
applying algorithms for code optimization and code reuse using Ruby
Gems and APIs. Demonstrated expertise developing web application interfaces
with external Java web services using REST API. Demonstrated expertise in the full software development life
cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, functional design,
architecture design, implementation, and testing, according to
scrum-based Agile methodologies. [Experience and/or expertise may be gained during Doctoral
