Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for designing and developing sophisticated
testing software; building tests, tools, and infrastructure using
mocks, API simulation, local stacks, Docker containers, and AWS to
identify software bugs; designing and implementing test tools for
web services, authentication, and data privacy; writing scripts to
automate testing, build tools, and infrastructure; designing
solutions for non-functional testing, performance, web security,
reliability, and scalability; debugging failures, reporting bugs,
and qualifying bug fixes; participating in functional reviews, test
specification, documentation, and code reviews; participating in
the early stages of the software development process to drive
quality software to production; and contributing to the long term
automated testing vision and strategy of the company. Education and Experience: Masters degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems and no
experience. OR Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems and five (5)
years of experience in job offered or five (5) years of experience
in web application testing. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise designing and developing test plans and
test procedures for web-based application functionality,
performance, and compatibility; executing and managing system,
integration and automated test cases using continuous integration
system -- Jenkins or Team City; and performing version control
using GitHub or SVN. Demonstrated expertise developing automated and manual testing
frameworks using Java, Selenium, SOAP UI, Burp Suite, and Postman,
including performing object oriented programming to develop test
tools and automated test cases; and writing SQL queries to validate
and update SQL server, DB2 or MySQL databases. Demonstrated expertise writing test and build algorithms in Java
or JavaScript to support building and QE testing of web-based
applications and test infrastructures using packaging tools --
Maven and Ant, including building automated test applications in
AWS and performing system testing of dockerized applications. Demonstrated expertise performing quality engineering according
to Agile and Test Driven Development methodologies; analyzing bugs
using Kibana or Splunk; and maintaining and using bug tracking
