Job Description Job Description Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1 years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A position is available for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support an elementary school student in the Virginia Beach area. This full-time, contracted role involves working one-on-one with a student exhibiting aggressive behaviors, providing essential behavioral support within a structured educational setting. Responsibilities include: Assisting the special education teacher in implementing the students Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) and behavior support strategies. Collecting and recording data on behavior and academic progress to monitor effectiveness. Escorting the student to and from classes, providing support during unstructured times to ensure safety and minimize behavioral challenges. Collaborating closely with the special education team to adjust interventions as needed. Qualifications and Experience: Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) licensure is required. Experience working in school settings with elementary-aged students preferred. Ability to manage aggressive behaviors with patience and professionalism. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with educators and staff. Willingness to work full-time hours (37 hours per week). Location: Elementary school in the Virginia Beach area, Virginia. Duration: Contract position from start date ASAP through June 16, 2026.
