Service Dispatch Specialist – Temp to Perm Location: Albany, NY (Onsite) Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Pay: $23–$25 per hour Type: Temp-to-Perm Our client is a trusted leader in electrical contracting and service, they are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Service Dispatch Specialist to join their team in Albany, NY. This is an exciting temp-to-perm opportunity offering consistent hours, a positive team environment, and the potential for long-term employment with a well-established company. Position Summary: The Dispatch Specialist will play a vital role in the daily operations of the service department by coordinating and scheduling field technicians, managing work orders, and ensuring accurate documentation for billing and job costing. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, a strong communicator, and able to thrive in a fast-paced office environment. Key Responsibilities: Answer and direct incoming service calls with professionalism and urgency Create and manage work orders in Viewpoint, including entering new customer and site information as needed Schedule and dispatch a team of 8 service technicians for various electrical service jobs Collaborate with the Service Manager to plan and prioritize daily and weekly service assignments Review and compile time and materials sheets submitted by technicians to assist with billing preparation Accurately total and allocate stock material sheets for job costing Maintain and update labor projection sheets in Microsoft Excel Perform general administrative tasks such as document filing, data entry, and miscellaneous office duties Qualifications: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word Strong communication skills and a commitment to outstanding customer service Highly organized with sharp attention to detail and the ability to multi-task Team-oriented with a proactive approach to problem solving and a willingness to learn Experience in dispatching, scheduling, or a service coordination role is strongly preferred Familiarity with Viewpoint software is a plus (training will be provided if needed) Why Join our client Opportunity for permanent employment after successful temp period Be a part of a supportive and professional team Gain hands-on experience in the skilled trades and service coordination industry Competitive pay and consistent hours Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
