Sr. Software Engineer (VB.Net, and .Net framework 4.0) in Waltham, MA with Remote option
 
A global company located in Waltham, MA is looking for a long term consultant for a Sr. Software Engineer (VB.Net, and .Net framework 4.0). This Sr. Software Engineer is responsible for design, coding and testing of new features for visitor management systems that enable visitors to self-register and print out ID badges from a lobby kiosk. The Ideal candidate will have a strong mix of technical ability, ownership capabilities and be able to work remotely with tight deadlines.  Most of the development will be done in VB.Net and .net framework 4.0 and this Sr. Software Engineer is essential for forward momentum .
 
 
 
Experience and/or Education for the Job of Sr. Software Engineer
 
• Expertise with VB.Net, .Net framework 4.0 (3 to 4 years experience developing VB.Net applications)
• Experience using Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) and Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)
• Experience with Visual Studio 2010 or 2012
• Strong with developing multi-tier client-server applications
• Skilled with developing user interface forms-based applications
• Experience using Source Control systems, particularly Microsoft Team Server
• Database experience  with SQL Server and Oracle  and must be able to write SQL language queries, triggers, stored procedures
• Understanding of and experience with software  development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Ability to work productively and independently and remotely from a home office
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
